Contrary to rumors, my demise is a bit premature. I am still alive and kicking and just about the graduate from college. Feel free to visit at http://sendkentocollege.com.
Ok, so I am being forced to finally update this blog. Liberty Bob says that if he is going to link to my blog then I better supply fresh content periodically.
I have been a bit busy since the new semester started at school. I have 3 tyrannical instructors who demand humongous volumes of work. I will try to keep my reading public up to date with all of my assorted antics.
Take a look at http://www.nbcolympics.com/photos/galleryid=187938.html, specifically photo 1. Does anyone have any doubts whatsoever what W is looking at? I would say that Thomas Coex could not have snapped this picture from a better angle if he had tried.
I will be genuinely surprised if some hardcore blogger does not pick this up and run with it as it looks like W is staring straight at Kerri’s rather impressive, and somewhat thinly clad, posterior. I am betting the W is wishing that he was about 30 years younger and one heck of a lot smarter and unmarried.
To believe in fate - whatever will be, will be - in which case why bother doing anything. If our lives are all predestined as some believe, why bother doing anything? We could all relax… and have a beer. No matter how far we walk, or how hard we work or how bad it hurts, we will always get to where we need to be - right?
I waffle on this topic frequently. At this time I am leaning towards life being predestined. I am someplace where I do not like being right now. If I buy into predestiny then I can at least hope that eventually I will not be where I am for much longer. The one advantage is that at least I am here with someone I do like.
The question is do I sit and wait for things to change as predestiny would indicate or do I go work my ass of trying to get there? It sure would be nice to win the lottery.
Here I sit at work at 12:14 AM wondering why there are so many people who spend outrageous amounts of money on stuff. I work for a major department store chain which also has a large online presence. I regularly placed orders for things like $595 handbags. My question is who in the hell needs to spend that kind of money on a handbag? Fortunately my wife doesn’t.
Do these people realize what they could do with that money? There are numerous charitable organizations out there that would love to get a little piece of the money we extravagantly blow each year. Places like libraries, humane shelter for animals, soup kitchens and food banks. All far more worthy of the money than C.O.A.C.H. or any of the other vendors that put this crap out.
In some instances I have answered questions from customers who then tell me they have to call back to actually order when their check arrives. One does not have to be a genius to figure out these people probably have far better things the money could be spent on. It is probably a pretty safe bet that these same folks probably need to give up the status and start saving some of this money for old age.
My question is how much would you pay for a watch, handbag or other accessory and why would you pay it? If you have too much money, we can easily arrange a transfer of funds from your bank account to mine. Maybe then I can live in high style too!
